Uttarakhand Scholarship 2023-2024: Uttarakhand Scholarship initiated by the Social Welfare Department, Government of Uttarakhand. Uttarakhand Scholarship 2023
Applications for the Uttarakhand Scholarship 2023 will be released in online mode only. All eligible students from any district of the state can avail of this scholarship. The Govt of Uttarakhand has organized this scholarship to support SC/ST/OBC/PH/Minority students from lower-income families for pursuing their education. The Govt of Uttarakhand aims to provide training and awards to students in the form of scholarships.
The E-scholarship portal verifies the eligibility of students and approves the applications after document verification. Post-Matric Scholarship
This scholarship offered to SC/ST/OBC/PH or Girl students studying class 11 or above in any recognized institute of Uttarakhand. Students studying ITI, Polytechnic, Technical Education, Medical and other professional education can also apply for this scholarship.
Eligibility Criteria
Students must fulfill the following eligibility criteria to apply for the Post-Matric scholarship.
- Students must be a domicile of Uttarakhand state.
- Students who have got admission in private colleges under management quota are not eligible.
- Students belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories and studying class 11 or above in any recognized institute are eligible.
- Students must have passed the previous qualifying examination.
- The family income of SC/ST students should not be more than 2.5 lakh per annum.
- The family income of OBC students should not be more than 1 lakh per annum.
- Students who are engaged in receiving scholarships from any other source are not eligible.

Pre-Matric Scholarship
This scholarship offered to the SC/ST/OBC/PH/Minority students who are studying in the state, council and recognized schools/madrasas of Uttarakhand.
Eligibility Criteria
Students must fulfill the following eligibility criteria to apply for the Pre-Matric Scholarship.
- Students must be a domicile of Uttarakhand state.
- Students belonging to Jain, Parsi, Muslim, Buddhism, Sikh, Christian minority groups are eligible.
- Students who are studying in class 1 to 10 are eligible.
- Students must have passed the previous qualifying examination.
- The family income of SC/ST students of class 9 and 10 should not be more than 2 lakh per annum.
- The SC/ST students of class 1 to 8 have no income limit.
- The family income of OBC students should not be more than 44,500 per annum.
- The family income of Physically Handicapped students should not be more than 24,000 per annum.
- The family annual income of Minority Community students should be less than twice of the current income slab of BPL.

Gaura Devi Kanya Dhan Scholarship
This scholarship offered to the SC/ST/OBC/BPL of General categories of girl students in any districts of Uttarakhand.
Eligibility Criteria
Students must fulfill the following eligibility criteria to apply for the Gaura Devi Kanya Dhan Scholarship.
- Students must be a domicile of Uttarakhand state.
- Only girl students who are studying in class 12th in any recognized institute of Uttarakhand.
- Students must have passed the previous qualifying examination.
- The annual family income of the student should be under the income slab prescribed by the Social Welfare Department.
Rewards – The selected students can be availed a One-time benefit on qualifying the grade 12th exam successfully.

Uttarakhand Scholarship Selection Process
The students will get selected on the basis of their academic performance and family income. The applications received from students will be scrutinized by the Institutes. After this, they will forward the applications to the DSWO. DSWO will sanction or reject the applications after verification. The final decision will be taken by the DSWO to shortlist the students. Then, the scholarship amount will be transferred to the shortlisted student’s given bank account.

- Go to the official website of the Uttarakhand e-Scholarship Portal.
- Click on the scholarship scheme that appeared on the homepage of the portal.

Uttarakhand Scholarship Renewal
The scholarship will be renewed in the subsequent years based on the student’s performance in the current year. Each student can apply only one application for renewal in that particular academic year. All the duplicate or permanent rejected applications will be removed from the renewal process. That is why the login credentials of those students will get deactivated.
But, students who have already registered for the Uttarakhand Scholarship, no need to register again for renewal. They can log in with their existing credentials to renew their online application for the particular academic year. Then, they can edit the details in the existing application form. After this, they can download the modified scholarship application form to apply for renewal.
